QuuxPlayer Language Localization
Japanese
To configure QuuxPlayer for Japanese, to the following:
- Download the file local.cfg.jp and put it in your QuuxPlayer program directory. (This is usually c:\Program Files\Quux Software\QuuxPlayer\).
- rename the file to local.cfg while leaving it in this same directory.
- Start (or restart) QuuxPlayer. You will see the interface translated into your Japanese.
Thanks Reika for the translation!
Note: Windows may require administrator access to put the file in this location. If so, save the file somewhere else, such as the Windows desktop, and then move it. We'll look for easier ways to do this soon.
Creating language files for other languages
- Download the file local_template.cfg and save it to your QuuxPlayer program directory. (This is usually c:\Program Files\Quux Software\QuuxPlayer\). The file contains pairs of keys and values, separated by a space. The template file has the English versions of each user interface element.
- Change the values (not the keys) to the correct translation in your language.
- Save the file as local.cfg in the same QuuxPlayer directory. It must be saved in UTF-8 format.
- Start (or restart) QuuxPlayer. You will see the interface translated into your language.
If you would like to share your translation file we will be happy to put it here on the QuuxPlayer website. Please send it to us. Thanks!
